Sometimes it takes one moment in the day for the heavy darkness to surround me. During those times it is most difficult to spread my wings. So I sit with her, afraid to look up and out and not see any light. Those are the days that seem to have more than 24 hours and they are filled with darkness.

I’m studying to be a doctor of death. As creepy as that sounds, it’s entirely true. This year I have started my PhD in the communication of death and illness.
